Transport & Warehouse Clerk

The Company has One (1) vacant position for a: Transport & Warehouse Clerk under the Transport Department

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Transport & Warehouse Clerk will ensure effective truck turnaround for both loading and offloading in port or any other assigned duty station. Monitor warehouse inventory and ensure that products are stored and shipped out in an accurate, efficient manner

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Oversee loading and offloading of trucks as per loading orders from clients.

·         Accurate checks on stocks on what is received and dispatched.

·         Ensure HSE policies are adhered to and report any accidents or incidents immediately.

·         Keep record of truck delays in loading/offloading.

·         Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products.

·         Perform various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed.

·         Maintain inventory documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed.

·         Ensure that shipment materials match packing lists before dispatching orders.

·         Raise consignment notes for all loadings in port.

·         Ensure timely loading and documentation is in order.

·         Ensure loading budgets are adhered to.

·         Ensure timely reconciliation of transport deliveries reports.

·         Any other duties as assigned by the line Supervisor.

REQUREMENTS

·         Certificate in a Logistics or supply chain management.

·         Knowledge of customs procedure will be an added advantage.

·         Computer Literate.

·         At least 3yrs of experience in clerical work.

·         Accuracy and proper time management.

·         Meet the set receipt/storage/dispatch Targets.

·         Compliance with warehouse/Industry/ Health & Safety Regulations.

·         Initiate Innovative ideas and good working relations with staff and clients
