Operator

The Operator is responsible for supporting safe and efficient terminal operations through vessel discharge and loading, truck and wagon loading/offloading, product sampling, tank gauging, and housekeeping, while ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct vessel discharge operations, including line cleaning, connection, and disconnection.

• Load and offload trucks and wagons in a safe and timely manner.

• Gauge oil tanks and record product levels accurately.

• Receive cargo and support the timely sampling, loading, and unloading of products.

• Collect product samples and maintain accurate sample records.

• Clean tanks, lines, and work areas to maintain operational efficiency and housekeeping standards.

• Participate in oil spill response drills and other safety-related activities.

• Promote and maintain a zero-incident and zero-accident work environment.

• Ensure equipment, tools, and work areas are kept clean, safe, and in good condition.

• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

• Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in oil terminal operations will be an added advantage.

• Sound judgment, with physical stamina and strength.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Willingness and flexibility to work odd hours
