Reachstacker Operator

To operate assigned Mobile Equipment safely and efficiently as per set work plan and grade competence requirements to realize set performance targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization to achieve set targets
2. Participate in hazard identification and risk mitigation.
3. Study of machine manuals and operate the machines assigned efficiently and effectively
4. Transfer cargo/gear tools from one point to another as directed.
5. Transfer the equipment from the working area to the workshop for inspection and vice versa.
6. Adherence to Port and National traffic rules and regulations.
7. Checks fuel, water level in the tanks and arranges for a refill.
8. Communicates machine breakdown or technical faults to the supervisors.
9. Adherence to all safety rules and regulations, circulars and notices issued from time to time.
10. Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned machine by performing regular maintenance, upholding cleanliness standards, and conducting inspections using the provided checklist, reporting any technical issues before use.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driving license with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in operating required machines from a reputable driving school with a clean record.
• Valid Class G driving license.
• A minimum of Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
• Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.

• Meet the set Ship discharge & cargo dispatch targets
• Compliance with vehicle/plant/equipment operations regulations.
• Timely & efficient response to operational incidents and accident
• Timely and efficient completion of work.
