Job Description
The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all facility and plant equipment are properly maintained, serviced, and operated to the required standards. The role involves coordinating technical activities, supervising maintenance teams, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations to support organizational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate technical operations to ensure efficiency and achievement of set targets.
- Liaise with the Technical Coordinator and Operations team to execute cargo discharge and delivery activities as per plan to achieve set targets.
- Monitor on-ground operations to ensure smooth ship, terminal, and plant equipment performance per shift.
- Ensure timely and effective repairs during breakdowns to maintain equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Plan and manage duty rosters to ensure optimal utilization of human resources.
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to maintain acceptable backlog levels in line with set targets.
- Review and analyze equipment status reports to ensure performance meets established KPIs.
- Ensure proper and efficient use of all tools, instruments, and vehicles.
- Enforce the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all technical work procedures and company policies.
- Advise the Technical Coordinator/Manager on staff-related matters and identify training needs.
- Manage operational costs and ensure overtime remains within approved limits.
- Raise material order requests for required spares and verify the quality of technical-related deliveries.
- Report hazards promptly to the Technical Department and HSE team.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical/Plant/Electrical Engineering or other appropriate Engineering field.
- B.Sc. in any related field is added advantage.
- NTT Grade III or Craft Certificate in Engineering related field.
- Must be computer literate.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Installation and Maintenance.
