Job Description

The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating truck loading operations in alignment with company policies and objectives. The role requires close collaboration with transporters, terminal staff, and internal departments to ensure safe, efficient, and timely logistics operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate the placement and removal of trucks in loading zones to ensure timely deliveries.
  2. Liaise with transporters and internal teams to manage and prioritize truck loading schedules.
  3. Foster positive relationships with customers, port authorities, and railway partners.
  4. Monitor and address quality control issues proactively.
  5. Maintain optimal terminal capacity and streamline transportation processes.
  6. Oversee order fulfillment and the transportation cycle to ensure deadlines are met.
  7. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  8. Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, including ISO standards.
  9. Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies at terminal loading areas.
  10. Comply with internal policies, circulars, and regulatory communications.
  11. Perform any additional duties as required to support effective logistics operations.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education).
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics management.
  3. Strong understanding of logistics-related laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  4. Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
  5. Valid driving license is required.
