Job Description
Mechanical Boiler Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, adjustment, and repair of boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure continuous and optimal operation of boiler systems by performing regular inspections, cleaning, filter changes, and preventive maintenance. Identify and repair or replace faulty components to maintain system performance.
- Monitor metering and safety equipment, address potential issues proactively, and take necessary action to suspend operations when needed to prevent hazards. Ensure all activities comply with mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and environmental codes.
- Carry out repairs, procure and install replacement parts, and recommend or perform system upgrades in line with technological advancements and within budget constraints.
- Install new heating system equipment as required and supervise related works such as tube, flue, header, casing, and brickwork. Oversee and coordinate with external contractors on technical assignments.
- Order and manage delivery of oil and gas supplies, inspect fuel tanks, and monitor consumption to ensure uninterrupted operations. Optimize the use of materials and tools to meet performance goals.
- Provide prompt routine and emergency maintenance services across both interior and exterior building systems. Ensure timely response to breakdowns and service requests.
- Maintain well-documented records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs. Report any exceptions or significant issues to management to safeguard operations and company interests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries, complaints, and requests. Maintain a high standard of service delivery and clear communication with clients and internal teams.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or Diploma in plant maintenance and Boiler training.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical works and Boiler operations
- Certified in Basic computer software packages ( Microsoft Excel, word)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Be able to bend, kneel, squat and climb frequently.
- Not above 45 years old.
