Job Description
To inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain Heavy Machinery, standby engines/generators, Locomotive engines, Motor vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect vehicles and machinery to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotation, and engine tune-ups.
Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Repair or replace worn or defective parts (engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, etc.).
Conduct engine tune-ups and performance testing.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed.
Communicate repair needs and cost estimates to supervisors or customers.
Keep workshop tools and equipment clean and in good condition
Carry out any other duties as assigned.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of two (2) years’ hands-on experience as a mechanic or automotive technician, demonstrating strong technical competence.
Valid driving license (preferred).
Computer literate with knowledge in computerized maintenance management systems is a great add.
